I dropped my Sony DSC-H1 Lens was jamed,blur image+cannot focus at all.It cost RM648 to repair. Worth?

The repair cost it's from Sony service centre..

Hard question ler... It's not exactly cheap but then the fact is that you can't get something with H1's capability on the market now with RM650.

But then adding rm400 more and you can get the Nikon L100 which imho would be close competition to the H1, but with more pixel and a wider lens angle which I like.

RM648 i think only worth if the camera means a lot to you, like a present or you bought it with your hard earn money.. etc...

RM648 is about 200USD. The Nikon L100 is about 230USD or about RM778. The brand new Nikon would only be around an additional RM130 according to my calculations. A link to the currency converter I used is below.

The Fujifilm S1500 is around 160USD or RM540

The Fujifilm S2000 is around 280USD or RM950

Given the choices in cameras below or near your repair cost I personally would go for the new camera. If your old camera does have sentimental value simply give it an honored position in a display case or on a shelf. You can keep it without using it.
